Joanna eating cut up hot dogs

So I gave her small pieces of Mac-n-Cheese and hotdog. Boy, she sure enjoyed them! I noticed she had a hard time picking up the MacNCheese with her tiny fingers except for the hotdog which were much easier for her.  I'd helped her with some but the rest she has managed to pick them up herself. Grandma(s), y'all are going to have fun feeding her for me when we come for a visit!  It'll give you a chance to enjoy her while I take a little break.  Fun, right?  So far she has also tried banana, watermelon, peach and cantaloupe... yep, our grown-up fruits!

Let me just say, she loves them!  If you feed her, she'll come back to you begging for more. You'll see!

Family photo: Sept. 12, 2011

taken September 12, 2011
Well here is our next recent family photo.  This was a casual one.  Well, a casual Texas Longhorn one. Heh.  Anyway, I wasn't happy with most of the pictures. I did ask the photographer to capture my growing bump. It's a bit disappointing because I only got a few from the angle side plus it was a quick session... she didn't make sure my hair was fixed, et cetera.  I was not planning on posting any of these but I decided why not.  Oh yes... you can see that I looked FAT.  Matt assured me that is because I'm pregnant.  I know that but still I just can't help noticed how plump my arms look and how round and chubby my face look. I'm allowed to feel conscious about my looks, right?  Don't we all at times?

Ok I do like one family photo of us out of all of them.  Besides that, Joanna in almost every photo turned out... well, she had such a beautiful smile!  For my part, I just wished it was better in pose, hair and all.  Anyway, Joanna did really good as in her behavior... yet again.  This time she was just smiling the whole time.  I've often wonder if she'll be photogenic the more we take pictures of her.  She is a natural!

VIDEO - Joanna 11 months 2 weeks

This was taken today. I have a build-in video camera in my laptop. Every time I try and video Joanna, she'll come to the laptop to touch the screen. I think she saw herself and was pointing at the screen (showing a preview of herself on video) or something... and of course, she was just blabbing away. hee hee

Our recent family photo taken during Labor day

We decided to hurry up and use up our JCPenney's coupons for our family photo. It expires this month when Joanna turns one year old.  Joanna is currently 11 months and 2 weeks.  I can't believe she'll be a year old soon!  In one of these photos, you'll be able to take a glimpse of Joanna's top tooth.  Her other tooth is about to cut through.  Joanna did good today. At around 9:30 am, she's usually fussy and normally takes a nap.  We had our appointment at 10:20 am and up until then she hasn't had her nap.   Every parents know that it's really hard to deal with a fussy baby but I'm thankful she did good!

Also, I am changing in appearance.  Hint hint: I'm growing bigger and wider!  If you lost track, I am about 22 weeks pregnant.  Hopefully our next family photo be able to see my baby bump. I'll be sure to ask the photographer to capture my growing baby bump!

Milk coming out from her nose??

No way! I couldn't believe my eyes! This is the second time that has happened. Yesterday, was my first encountered seeing milk coming out from her nose! How is this possible?? I had to take pictures, so I left quickly to grab my camera. She wanted her milk badly that is why you see my poor baby crying.  As soon as I hurried to give her a drink, I had to snap pictures to prove it. I think she was in a hurry to drink it and couldn't control the flow or something like that to make this happen. Crazy, right?

Joanna tasted dog poop
I haven't been up to date but this actually happened about two weeks ago.
I always make sure the floor is clean now that Joanna is exploring and putting things in her mouth. Some how, Matt came inside and took his shoes off. Well, underneath left a small residue on the floor. The thing I never wanted my baby to put in her mouth has happened! She tasted dog poop! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy??!!!
Sorry grandmas!! She's fine now!! Now, I make sure whenever Matt comes inside.. to be sure there isn't anything brought inside. This is definitely one story I have to share with her as she gets older. My poor baby!
