4 months: week 1

Today, Joanna turned 4 months old! I took advantage of letting her wear her spring clothes before next's week Artic blast. Notice that her dress size is 3-6 months old and it's already small on her!

She likes looking at that musical mobile above her.
Yay, I was able to snap a photo of her smiling!
She does this often. (sticking out her tongue)
Aww, you're trying to smile!
*gasps* She's sitting up!
Okay... it's with the help of the boppy pillow. Ha!
It won't be long til I take away that pillow, darling!
Mommy wants to see you sit on your own.
That's right! Smile for mommy!
No no, Joanna... don't pull your dress up.
This drooling never stops.
I noticed that Sandy has finally started
getting comfortable around the baby.
Looking...
...about to lick her...
...and sniff her.

Pediatrican - 4 months

It was hard getting up this morning. Joanna was being fussy when I woke her up at 6 o'clock in the morning and no she usually wakes up at around 7:30 a.m. on her own. I'll tell you this, she's grumpy in the morning, just like her daddy! No kidding. I should have took a picture just to show you! Hmm... I just might.

She sure has grown both in weight and height. Her current information is provided below:

Weight: 15 lbs 2 oz. Percentage: 80%
Height: 26.0" Percentage: 95%
Head Circumference: 15. 3/4" Percentage: 60%

She did cried when her shots were given BUT after the nurse handed her to me. She'd stopped.
Still a brave little girl! I haven't let those shots affected me as the nurse gave them to her. I'm also getting braveR! Yeah! But I still didn't want to hold her as the nurse pricked her. I just stood and watched from behind without looking away.

The doctor said everything looks good.

Video- 3 months

Okay this is a most recent video and was recorded on January 20th. Joanna is sort of "cooing" or making baby noises or "talking" in this video. I don't know but I know this by now that she's at the very beginning of her language development!

Video- 2 months

I finally got to re-post this video. Yay!
This was when Joanna was around 2 months.

Oklahoma visit

Joanna got to meet Abigail who is 7 months old. Whoa! My baby is almost as big as Abby! You can tell that Abby wanted to play with Joanna. Diana (holding Joanna) and I met at Junior's camp in OK a few years back. I'm thankful for her friendship. Every time I come to Oklahoma, I try and make an effort to visit. She is also married to a deaf. Her husband Chris is a Pastor to the deaf at their church.
It was really cold in Oklahoma City during the week we had Missions Conference. I kept Joanna warm and had to take pictures of how she was holding her hands.
I think she heard the camera clicking
but she kept her eyes closed.
Matt said that she has long lashes. Isn't that so?
I don't know but I think they're pretty!

Christmas morning

We've spend Christmas morning
with grandma and grandpa Guerra.

Granny keeping Joanna entertain
while Matt hands out presents.
Still waiting for presents.
Decided to take a picture next to
Joanna's BIG STOCKING.
I'm not kidding, it is almost all the way down to the floor!
Plus, it's about my height!
She's spoiled much, eh?
Matt handing out gifts.
Opening our presents.
I think it's all about Joanna.
Putting down her toy phone.
She got a book.
Granny insisted that I open the book
because it talks, so I did.
Testing it out together.
Yep, that's my dog Sandy.
Before my grandma passed away,
she wanted me to have her.
